"For this short dance solo video, we drew inspiration from the song, which deals with a romantic breakup. We aimed to capture, in a direct way, the vulnerability of that moment, where regret, sadness, and the renewal of desire are intertwined. What better way to convey this state than through an essential cinematic gesture: the long take. We wanted to explore the possibility of connecting with movement and music without any artifice, capturing the performer’s intensity as if the camera operator were a dancer themselves.
To capture reality—and fix it—while adding that extra soul, that intensity of the moment. A “body-camera” approach directed by the choreographer: the camera operator must find tension and maintain the right distance in real time, reintroducing the danger of the living into the film, the fragility of the bodies, and the immediacy of the moment."
